EDENTON, N.C.—Elizabeth Ann Boyce Parrish, 75, of the 400 block of Old Hertford Road, died Oct. 13, 2008, in Chowan Hospital.
Born in Gates County, she was the daughter of the late Herman David Sr. and Eunice Baines Boyce.
A homemaker, she was a member of Edenton Baptist Church, the Laura Harrell Sunday School Class, the Lottie Moon Circle of the WMU, a 50-year member of the Enterprise Extension Homemakers Club, and had served in many capacities with both the Chowan County ECA Council and the ECA Northeast District Council.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Sam Boyce and Herman Boyce Jr., and a grandson, George Hoskins Parrish.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jimmie Moore Parrish Sr.; a daughter, Patricia P. White and husband Jim of Chapel Hill, N.C.; five sons, J.M. Parrish and wife Anne, Jerry Parrish and wife Dorothy, Frankie Parrish and wife Amby, Carroll Parrish and wife Anne, and Mike Parrish and wife Laurie, all of Edenton; two brothers, Edward Lee Boyce of Chesapeake and Roger Boyce of Franklin; 15 grandchildren, Wayne Parrish and wife Amy, Robert Parrish and wife Tanya, Chris Parrish and wife Goldie, Jim Parrish and wife Chrystal, Emory White and fiancée Abby Brickey, Elizabeth White, and Richard, Dan, Grey, Rebecca, Ginny, Karen, Mandy, Katie and Gibson Parrish; and five great-grandchildren, Landen, Jimbo, Tyler, Emma and Ainsley Parrish.
A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks.
Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
Friends may join the family at the residence.
