Elizabeth B. Lee
WINDSOR—Elizabeth “Ebbie” Beale Lee born Sept. 9, 1926, died Oct. 11, 2008, in Sentara Obici Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Lilly Avis and William Fletcher Beale.
She was also predeceased by her sister Evelyn Beale Baker.
Mrs. Lee was a member of the Windsor Baptist Church.
She had retired with 30 years of service from the Virginia Department of Transportation, Suffolk District.
Her favorite past times included singing in the choir at church and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, William “Ray” Lee; one brother Jimmy Avis Beale of Hanover County; three sons, William “Bill” Ray Lee Jr. and wife Sharon of Waterville, Maine, Terry W. Lee and wife Debbie of Gates, N.C. and Robert E. Lee and wife Emily of Franklin; her three grandchildren; Jamie and wife Hilary, Ryan Lee of Maine and Tracy Lee of Gates; two great-grandchildren Mason and Hunter Lee of Maine.
A funeral service was held Tuesday in Windsor Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Brooks officiating.
Burial was private.
Harrell & Hill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
