FRANKLIN — Police are looking for an elderly black woman who has been missing since Sept. 21.
Helen Frances Blow, 68, was first reported missing by the city’s Department of Social Services on Oct. 4.
Gloria Wiggins, a social worker within the department, said Blow was evicted from Holland Trace Apartments in Franklin on Sept. 18 for not paying her rent. That night she checked into the Super 8 Motel in Franklin, where she stayed until checking out the morning of Sept. 21, according to Wiggins.
“No one has seen her since,” Wiggins said. “I started to get concerned.”
Police say Blow is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has white hair and brown eyes.
“She does not have a car and will walk everywhere,” Wiggins said. “She will not get a ride from anyone. She’s here on the street.”
A woman who answered the phone at Holland Trace Apartments declined to confirm if Blow had ever been a resident, or if she had been evicted.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Franklin Police Department at (757) 562-8575.
