Eva C. Spivey
SUFFOLK—Eva Carroll Spivey, 82, died Oct. 5, 2008, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late Fannie H. and Harry Clay Carroll Sr. and the widow of Delmar Leigh Spivey Sr.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Harry C. Carroll Jr., Robert Carroll and Norma C. Bell
Mrs. Spivey was a retired machine operator with Lipton Tea and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene S. Wilkins of Suffolk; sons, Delmar Leigh Spivey Jr. of Suffolk, Norman Brian Spivey of Carrsville; sisters, Dorothy C. Pittman of Elberon, Mary C. Oliver of Smithfield, Lillian C. Whitley of Waynesboro; brothers, Raymond Carroll of Smithfield, Thomas Carroll of Chesapeake and Percy Carroll of Elberon; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her pet dog, “Bettie”.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. Kenneth Bunch with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive at 3564 Adams Swamp Road, Suffolk.
