The Franklin Parks & Recreation Department will host an NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Contest on Saturday at Armory Stadium.

Gates will open at 1:30 p.m. for registration, followed by the competition at 2 p.m.

The contest is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15 and allows youngsters to showcase their talents in punting, passing and kicking, with scores based on distance and accuracy. Boys and girls will compete separately in age groups 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15. Each participant is allowed one punt, one pass and one place-kick as part of their competition.

No football shoes, turf shoes, cleats or bare feet are allowed. Trophies will be awarded to all first-, second- and third-place finishers.

The first-place winners will advance to Sectional Competition at Fort Eustis on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. This contest is free to all participants. For more information contact Waverly Lawrence at 562-8789.
