I. Stuart Rose Jr.
IVOR—I. Stuart Rose Jr., 66, died Sept. 30, 2008.
Mr. Rose was a native of Hampton, but a resident of Ivor for 15 years.
He retired from NASA after 36 years of service.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Hampton and in his spare time enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin S. Rose Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Patricia Faye Rose; two daughters, Renae Taylor, Tonya Jeffries and husband Jerry, all of Newport News; one son, Michael Rose and wife Shannon of Londonderry, N.H., and mother, Frances Y. Rose; one brother, Robert “Bob” Rose and wife Debbie, all of Galax; and eight grandchildren; Amber, Kyle, Ashton, Brandon, Mitchell, Taylor, Rebecca and Allison.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Peninsula Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Parklawn-Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 11835 Canon Blvd., Suite A-102, Newport News, Va. 23606.
