Courtland man says he was robbed at gunpoint

FRANKLIN—A 20-year-old Courtland man reported being robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday by five men wearing ski masks, according to police.

Officers were called to the Franklin South Apartments at 5 a.m. Wednesday to investigate the report.

“The victim told them that he had driven to the apartment complex to visit a friend and when he got out of his car he was approached by five suspects who were wearing black hoodies, dark clothing and ski masks, one of the suspects having his hair in dreadlocks,” a police press release said.

The man told police that one of the robbers put a gun under his chin and took $200 from his pocket.

The suspects then fled toward the 1400 block of South Street, police said.
