If you could select another profession, what would you do? I would be a professional photographer

Why do you choose to live in Southampton County? I was born and raised here. I can’t think of another place I’d rather live!

If you had two weeks’ vacation and money were no object, how would you spend your time? I would like to go back to Europe, with my husband this time, for one week and then to Australia for the second week.

What’s the best life lesson you’ve learned, and who taught you? My mother has always told me to keep God first, no matter what everyone else was doing or what they said. It has proven very valuable.

If you could re-live one day of your life, which would it be and why? My wedding day! I loved every moment.

What gives you the blues? Rainy days

What’s the most Southern thing you’ve ever done? Going mud’n on my 4-wheeler and getting completely covered in mud

What’s your best childhood memory? Definitely building forts and 4-wheeler paths in the woods with my neighbors Thomas and Michael Bolton and Micah Dillon

What frightens you most? Snakes. The only good snake is a dead snake.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why? I would not want to live anywhere else. My family is here!

If you could pass or change one law, what would it be? Reinstating prayer back in our public school system

What last brought tears to your eyes? A lady on television sharing about how much she loved her children.

If you could invite three guests — living or dead, from anytime in history — to dinner, who would they be? Jesus, Corrie Ten Boom and my grandmother Kathleen, whom I never met

What three objects would you take with you to a desert island? Cell phone, sweatshirt (I always get cold) and a suitcase (with my husband inside)

What kind of music do you like, and who’s your favorite performer? Christian. I do not really have a favorite. I like a variety.

What’s the last book you read? “The Jezebel Spirit” by Francis Frangipane

To whom are you grateful and why? I am grateful to God for His unfailing love and mercy. I am also grateful to my parents and mom-in-law for all they have done and still do for me and my husband.
