FRANKLIN—Charles Linzie Turner, 73, of the 1200 block of Carrsville Highway, died Sept. 20, 2008, in Sentara Obici Hospital after a short illness.
He is a native of Southampton County, son of the late James Arthur Turner and Verner Lee Turner.
Mr. Turner was a member of Union Hill United Church of Christ and male chorus.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Shawanda Stephens and Norman Stephens; special niece, Joan Sebrell (James); three grandchildren, Gregory Boone, Ashli and Amyra Stephens.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Hill United Church of Christ, Sedley, with the Rev. Roy Stokes officiating.
Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
