Why do you choose to live in Franklin/Southampton/Isle of Wight County? I was born and raised here.

If you had two weeks’ vacation and money were no object, how would you spend your time? I would take a trip to Australia, because I love the beach and have always wanted to go there.

What’s the best life lesson you’ve learned? When I go to bed at night, no matter if I had a good day or bad day, that God’s steadfast love and mercies are new every morning.

What’s the best decision you’ve made in life? Asking Jesus into my heart and agreeing to marry my husband

If you could re-live one day of your life, which would it be and why? One of the best days of my life was when my husband proposed to me.

Tell us one true thing: Without Jesus’ death and resurrection I would not have everlasting life.

What frightens you most? People who go about life spinning their wheels without ever experiencing Jesus’ love and forgiveness of sin, which leads to eternal life.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why? Why would I ever want to live anywhere else but here?

If you could pass or change one law, what would it be? To reverse Roe versus. Wade

What last brought tears to your eyes? I was recently in Washington, D.C. for an event, “The Call”, and at this event there was a moment when they were talking about the Native Americans and they are a forgotten people and that brought me to tears.

If you could invite three guests – living or dead, from anytime in history – to dinner, who would they be? Jesus, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Esther.

What three objects would you take with you to a desert island? My Bible, sunscreen and cell phone

What kind of music do you like, and who’s your favorite performer? Christian, and the best concert I have ever been to was a Steven Curtis Chapman concert

Tell us about a good movie you’ve seen lately and why you liked it: “August Rush,” because it’s all about an orphan boy protégé who follows his heart through music to find his parents.
