FRANKLIN—Thomas Earl “Weedie” White of Walnut St., died Sept. 13, 2008, in Suffolk.
The Franklin native was employed with Forest Pine Apartments and a member of Holy Prayer Room, Rich Square, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Denson White; stepdaughter, Lisa M. Barrett of Richmond; one foster son, Jasper Reid of Franklin; his mother, Otelia White; father, Ernest Council; two sisters, Marsh Barnes of Franklin and Shelia Cooper (Kenneth) of Murfreesboro, N.C.; three brothers, Carl White, Rodney White, Lloyd White, all of Franklin; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A homegoing celebration will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Stonewall Street, Franklin, with Bishop D. Stefn Adams Sr. delivering the message of comfort.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. On the day of service, his remains will be placed in church for viewing by 12:30 p.m.
