ISLE OF WIGHT—A Carrsville man wanted in connection with the July burglary of a Community House Drive home has been arrested in Maryland and returned to Virginia to face even more charges.

Craig S. Swigert, 25, of Stevens Drive, faces charges related to other burglaries on Walters Highway, Carrsville and Pope Swamp Trail in Windsor earlier in the year, according to Sgt. M.R. Kitchen of the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office.

The new charges include three counts of breaking and entering, three counts of grand larceny and a heroin distribution charge, Kitchen said.

Swigert had been arrested at a Walters home in July and charged with two counts of distribution of heroin and one count each of distributing cocaine and possession of marijuana. He was later released from jail on bond.

Police issued a public call for help in finding him again after connecting him to a separate burglary in Carrsville, for which they issued burglary and grand larceny warrants.

Local investigators teamed up with Maryland authorities to locate him, Kitchen said Thursday. They brought him back to Virginia on Tuesday.

Swigert was taken to Western Tidewater Regional Jail, where he is now being held with no bond.
