Peggy Hassett
ATLANTA, Ga.—Peggy Hassett, 81, of Atlanta formerly of Franklin, died Sept. 6, 2008.
A native of Portsmouth, she later moved to Franklin where her husband, Abe, was a merchant.
In later years, she moved to Atlanta to be close to family.
Mrs. Hassett was preceded in death by her husband of more than 45 years, Abe Hassett, of blessed memory.
Survivors include her sons, Rob Hassett and wife Lynn of Atlanta and Bruce Hassett and wife Audrey of Vienna; daughter, Ellen Hassett, Norfolk; son, Lew Hassett and wife Sylvia of Atlanta; brother, Stanley Scher of Newport News; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Tuesday at Gomley Chesed Cemetery in Portsmouth.
