Marjorie L. Whitley
ZUNI—Marjorie Lee Whitley, 74, died Sept. 6, 2008.
She was born in Isle of Wight County, the daughter of the late David and Ethel Turner Gardner.
She was a longtime member of Antioch Church in Windsor where she was the treasurer for 30 years, taught Sunday school for numerous years, and was a member of the choir.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Lee Kello and son, Garland Gene Whitley.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Garland S. Whitley of Zuni; daughter- in-law, Brenda G. Whitley; son-in-law, John Wayne Kello; grandchildren, Ann Francis Ellis, John Curtis Kello, and Amber Carol Whitley; five great-grandchildren; and good friends, Carter and Joyce Clements.
A graveside service was held Tuesday in Holly Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Mark T. Habecker officiating.
Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, Suffolk, was in charge of arrangements.
