Lillian Bremner

CHESAPEAKE—Lillian Twine Bremner, 81, of the 700 block of Andover Court, died Aug. 25, 2008, in Chesapeake.
A native of Tyner, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Essie Chappell Twine and the wife of the late Stewart Bremner.
Mrs. Bremner began her career as an operator with C&P Telephone Company and later was co-owner and bookkeeper for Bremner’s Service Station and Towing Co. for 33 years.
She was a member of Ivor Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon L. Bremner; granddaughter, Taryn M. Schum, both of Chesapeake; two brothers, Dr. H. Edgar Twine of Tampa, Fla., and Gillam Twine of Belvidere, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stewart “Wayne” Bremner.
A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. in Ivor Baptist Church, 8506 Bell Ave., Ivor, VA 23866, with the Rev. Steven R. Gupton officiating.
Burial will take place in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, at 2 p.m.
The family will receive friends at Ivor Baptist Church from 10 to 11 a.m. the day of service.
Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
