Everlean Jones

YALE—Everlean G. Jones, of 19136 Riverstowne Road, died Aug. 24, 2008, in Richmond.
She was the daughter of Gertrude D. Green of Yale and the late Caleb Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Jones; brother, Jasper Green; sisters, Lydia Taylor and Lou Jones; and granddaughter, Shonta’ Williams.
Mrs. Jones was educated in the Southampton and Sussex County School Systems.
She retired from Wakefern Corp., Accounts Payable Department, in Plainfield, N.J., and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Capron, Sussex County Civic Organization and the NAACP.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwen Williams (David) and Ann McKoy; four brothers, Caleb B. Green Jr. (Edith B.), Melvin T. Green (Cora), Larry W. Green and Ronald E. Green; two sisters, Ann L. Little and Helen V. Green; two grandchildren, Marquis’ Williams and Tammara Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Devin and Quinton Williams; a host of other devoted relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church, Capron, with the Rev. Earl R. Thompson Sr. officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at noon at 19136 Riverstown Road, Yale, the day of the service.
