Two pitchers from Windsor High School made a splash at a national baseball tournament in the Richmond area last week.

Chris Horne and Jeff Myers both competed for the Mason Dixon team in the Pro-Motion USA Blue-Grey Battle of the States/Mid-Atlantic Tournament. Mason Dixon won the tournament and clinched the final over Richmond 7-1 when Horne and Myers both pitched three no-hit innings.

The tournament is a showcase for college and pro scouts. According to the organization’s Web site, &uot;the organization has helped produce over 1,125 draft choices who attended one of their showcases. Over the past three years nearly 80% of the prospects at all their events were recruited heavily and received baseball money during or after the early signing period. Several of the most recent Blue-Grey first round draft selections include Ryan Zimmerman, B.J. Upton, and Justin Upton.&uot;
