SUFFOLK—George Eure Jr., of the 100 block of Oak Lane, died Aug. 10, 2008, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

He is predeceased by his parents, George B. Eure Sr. and Sadie Rodgers Eure.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Eure of Hampton; four sisters, Mabel Dillard of Maryland, Marie Davis of Franklin, Mary H. Deloatch (Sammie Lee) of Newport News and Barbara Stallings, of Suffolk along with one brother, Freddie Lee Eure of Hampton.

He will also be missed by one grandchild and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A homegoing service was held Thursday in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home Inc., 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk.

Interment was held in the Holland Family Cemetery, Nansemond Parkway.

Elder Sammie L. Deloatch officiated.
