WINDSOR—Alvester “Pepsi” Williams, husband of Frances E. Williams, died Aug. 6, 2008, in his home.
Mr. Williams retired from Smithfield Packing.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Frances E.; two daughters, Melissa Pretlow-Battle (Linwood) and Felicia Purvis (Eric); five sons, Alvester I. Williams Jr. (Tonya), Tony A. Williams (Norma), Kevin W. Williams, Alan A. Williams and Gary L. Williams (Tracy); sister, Leona Green; three brothers, Wesley Williams, Robert L. Williams (Louvenia), Paul T. Mason (Beverly); 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was to be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment was to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield.
