FRANKLIN—Randolph Pierce, 48, died July 9, 2008, at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mr. Pierce was born Sept. 21, 1959 in Northampton County, the son of the late Edward and Laura Smallwood Pierce.

Survivors include his children, Antoine Pierce and Brandon Pierce, both of Boykins, and Nyesha Pierce of Jarratt; one brother, Edward (Tillie) Pierce of Courtland; four sisters, Ellen (John) Hill of Newport News, Portia (Steve) Vaughan of Franklin, Bobbie Speller of Aulander, N.C., and Grace (Matthew) Lloyd of Tarboro, N.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Sinai Church, Murfreesboro, N.C. with Elder Melvin Murphy, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church cemetery, Jackson, N.C.

Faison’s Funeral Home, Seaboard, N.C., is in charge of arrangements.
