SMITHFIELD—Jonathan &uot;Jon Jon&uot; Christian Berry, 22, died unexpectedly July 8, 2008.
He was a member of Benn’s United Methodist Church. He was a graduate from Isle of Wight Academy in 2005.
He loved music and making people happy, but most of all, he loved life.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Calvin Berry and Jessie Mae Berry; and his beloved dog, Dover.
Survivors include his mother, Cathy Lynn Berry of Smithfield; father, Charles Lyndon Berry and wife Dale of Alderson, W.Va.; maternal grandparents, Garland and Barbara Hubble of Smithfield; girlfriend, Tristian MacKinnon of Smithfield; two half brothers, Mark Phillip Berry of Newport News and Craig Mathew Berry and wife Tiffany of Carrollton; three stepsisters, Joy McDowell and husband Douglas of Hampton, Holly Spath and Audra Spath, both of Massachusetts; nephew, Travis Berry of Carrollton; aunt, Allison Mabry and husband Melvin; cousin, Hope Mabry; beloved dog, McLovin; and special extended family of the Smithfield Station.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in St. Luke’s Memorial Park with the Rev. O.H. Burton and Charles Jones officiating.
Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge of arrangements.
