FRANKLIN—Mitzi Lusk, who spent the last nine years as a Realtor in Franklin, has joined the advertising sales staff of The Tidewater News.

Lusk, who has 20 years of marketing and sales experience, joined the newspaper staff this week.

The Sedley resident has been active in local businesses for much of her professional career. She joined William E. Wood and Associates in 2004 as an independent contractor. Licensed as an accredited buyers representative, Lusk was a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club/Circle of Excellence since 1999, was the top producing sales associate in 2001 and 2003 and was the top producing listing agent in 2004 and 2005. In 2006 she was the top listing and selling agent.

During the time between 2003 and 2007, Lusk, was the owner/manager at Genesis Electrical Contractor LLC on Armory Drive.

She’s also been a part of Venture Properties Inc. and Scott and Associates.

She was a member of the Hampton Roads Realtors Association Task Force in 2005-06.

Lusk is a member of Sedley Baptist Church, where she is a youth leader and is active in Vacation Bible School.
