SPRING GROVE—Diane Coombs, died June 26, 2008, at the Sentara Medical Complex in Williamsburg.

She was born Feb. 28, 1953, to the late Johnnie White Gray and George Hardy Gray.

Mrs. Coombs was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was a member of the pastor’s aid, missionary ministry and was a Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Coombs; two sons, Ishum Coombs and Desmond Coombs; a daughter-in-law; father-in-law, Charles Coombs Sr.; sisters, Regina Gray (James) of Smithfield, Debbie Porter (Howard) of Surry, Sharon Williams (Bryant) of Isle of Wight and Keesha Smith (Jeff) of Newport News; three grandchildren, Zion, Jeriah and Ashante; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held at noon Saturday at Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Gregory Spurlock officiating.

Interment will be in Davis Cemetery.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Poole’s Funeral Home.

She will also be viewed one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by Poole’s Funeral Home.
