ISLE OF WIGHT—Desmond D. Johnson, 29, died June 20, 2008, in Riverside Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Carleeta Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was employed by Gwaltney, a sudsidiary of Smithfield Foods.

Survivors include his father, Gregory Ricks; daughter, Anasia Y. Boykins; god daughter, Jakayla Holloway; and godparent, Iris B. Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at noon today at Brown’s AME.Church, Smithfield. No public viewing.
