MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Oscar Bishop Jr., 69, a native of Hertford County, N.C., died June 11, 2008.

Survivors include one son, Dwayne Bishop Sr. of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Talina Bishop of Ahoskie, N.C.; one sister, Eloise Pearson of Wichita, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Hertford County Undertakers Chapel, Winton, N.C., by the Rev. Shirley Johnson.
