FRANKLIN—Essie M. Picot, 70, of the 200 block of Thomas Street, died June 15, 2008, in Nansemond Point Rehabilitation Health Care.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Hope Baptist Church, Franklin.
