WINDSOR—Mr. and Mrs. Clifton C. Brinkley announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Beth Brinkley, to Chad Allen Gribble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie J. Gribble.

Brinkley is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Bryant and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William L. Brinkley.

Gribble is the maternal grandson of Polly Lowe Bass and the late Robert L. Wolfley Jr. and the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Gribble.

She is a resident of Windsor and is employed as a special education teacher by Suffolk Public Schools.

He is employed by Lowes of Suffolk and resides in Newport News.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 15 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church in Zuni.
