NEWPORT NEWS—Derrick Allen Shackelford, 21, died May 31, 2008.

Survivors include his mother, Christy Rowland; grandmother, Kathleen and Albert Rowe, all of Newport News; grandfather, William R. Shackelford of Gloucester; brother, Dylan Raiman, and sister, Kendall Raiman, both of Newport News; half-brother, William Flippo of Camp Lejeune, N.C., and half-sister, Krystal Flippo of Smithfield; aunts, Kandi Evans of Virginia Beach and Robin Beane of New Kent; uncle, Robert T. Shackelford of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandmother, Christine Shawn of Gloucester; and two special caregivers, Jean Roberson and Fredricka Branch.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel of Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews.

Burial will follow in Pear Tree Cemetery, Onemo, Va.
