South Street redevelopment is forum topic

The City of Franklin has scheduled a presentation and public forum at 7 p.m. June 16 at 7 p.m. to answer &uot;the most asked questions&uot; regarding redevelopment issues in the southern part of the city.

The meeting will be held at the Sportsman’s Club on South Street.

According to a press release issued by city officials, the purpose of the meeting is to provide accurate information to those persons in all six wards but particularly in Wards 3, 4 and 5.

The items planned for discussion include redevelopment/revitalization and any other plans along or near the South Street Corridor.

City officials will make a presentation at the beginning of the forum, to be followed by a question-and-answer period.
