SUFFOLK—Russell Wayne Neblett, 53, died May 10, 2008.
A native of Petersburg, he was the son of the late Francis M. Neblett and was predeceased by a brother, Gary F. Neblett. Russell was a Realtor for Long & Foster and also the co-founder of T. & A. Repairs in Courtland.
He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church where he served as a deacon, usher, past moderator and taught the Taylor Brittle Sunday School Class and the Ladies Star Class. He was an active member of the Bethlehem Ruritan Club where he served as club president twice.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Terese H. Neblett; daughter, Jessica M. Neblett of Suffolk; sons and daughter- in-law, Jeremiah A. and Sandra J. Neblett of Sussex County, and Nathan F. Neblett of Suffolk; mother, Rosalind Rose Neblett of Sussex County; three stepgrandchildren, Justin, Brittany and Steven; brother and sisters-in-law, David B. and Betsy Neblett of Hopewell, and Patricia C. Neblett of Sussex County.
A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Bethlehem Christian Church with the Rev. Jonathan Palmer officiating.
Burial will be private in the Neblett Family Cemetery in Sussex County at 3 p.m.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk.
