FRANKLIN—William Tilson Brown Sr., 76, of the 21000 block of Black Creek Road, died April 24, 2008, in Courtland Healthcare after a long illness.

Mr. Brown was a native of

Isle of Wight County. He was the son of the late Joe Brown and Isabelle Anderson Davis.

He is also predeceased by his wives, Mamie Sue Brown and Narcisuss Britt Brown.

He was a self-employed retired carpenter.

Survivors include four sons, William T. Brown Jr. (Barbara), Wallace Brown (Victoria), Edward Brown (Patricia) and George Britt (Hallie); 11 daughters, Atelia Elliott (Lloyd), Debra Brown, Felicia Jones, Ruby Brown, Ann Sharp Ellison (Willie), Virginia Lawson (Billy), Josephine Martin (James), Cora Caldwell, Laverne Seaborne, Sylvia Bowers (Anthony) and Mary Britt; 57 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
