SUFFOLK—Ruth Ann Webber, 81, of the 500 block of Lake Kilby Road, died April 21, 2008, in Sentara Obici Hospital.

The daughter of the late Allen and Maudie Baker, she was predeceased by her husband, Bennett Webber; two brothers, Charles and Bobby Baker; and a sister, Faye Booker.

A member of the Suffolk Church of Christ, she is survived by five sisters, June Beach, Geraldine Miller and husband Tom, Jackie Holt and husband Johnny of Suffolk, Mary Rose Wilson and husband Quincy of Summerville, S.C., Norma Jennings and husband, Felix of Chesapeake; three brothers, Bill Baker of Sunbury, N.C., Gary Baker and wife Phyllis and Doug Baker and wife Romona of Suffolk; a brother-in-law, Read Booker of Windsor; and a very special friend, Johnny Willis of Berlin, Md.; also missing her will be her numerous well-loved nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Thursday in Suffolk Church of Christ, 2025 Holland Road, Suffolk with Skip Francis officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial followed in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Nansemond Suffolk-Rescue Squad, 428 Market Street, Suffolk, VA 23434.
