NORFOLK—Nancy Bourne Skeen, 65, died April 16, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 29, 1942, in Richmond, to the late Russell and Anne Bourne.

Mrs. Skeen was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and making cookies with them.

She also enjoyed knitting, collecting teapots and was an avid reader; there were never enough books.

She was predeceased by her dear husband of 46 years, Tommy Lee Skeen Sr.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Lee Skeen Jr.; two daughters, June Adcock and husband Mark of Southampton County and Sandy Schechter and husband Rick of Norfolk; brother, Russell Bourne and wife Nancy of Florida; sisters, Becky Raynor of North Carolina and Debbie Sibley and husband John of Rockville; brother-in-law, Dickie Skeen and wife Nancy of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Kaye Beaver of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Justin, Kristina, Taylor, Haley, Kaitlyn and Jack; and one great-grandchild, Mark. Visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Chapel, Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.altmeyer.com
