SMITHFIELD—Frank J. Wechsler, USAF Ret. Tech Sgt., 75, died April 17, 2008, at Sentara Hampton CarePlex.

Mr. Wechsler served 23 years in the Air Force. He was born in Laurys, Pa., and was the son of the late Charles and Theresa Wechsler.

Frank was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wechsler, and infant daughter, Mary Ann Wechsler.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Wechsler; daughter, Joan Marie Morlan and companion Patrick Murphy of Wakefield; granddaughters, Alicia Marie Lopez and husband Jay of Tucson, Ariz., Megan Wechsler of Dinwiddie and Christina Marie Morlan of Ivor; great-grandsons, Jonathan and Antonio of Tucson; and a sister, Rose M. Silfies of Cherryville, Pa.

A graveside service was held Monday at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, with full Air Force Honors.

Arrangements were in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
