WINDSOR—Mr. and Mrs. James Horton announce the engagement of their daughter Cheryl Angel Horton, to Robert Shawn Darden, son of Carol W. Darden and John Robert “Bobby” Darden III.

Horton is a graduate of Windsor High School.

She is currently the office manager at Supreme Petroleum/Holiday Ice Inc.

Darden is a graduate of Isle of Wight Academy and North Carolina State University.

He currently farms in Isle of Wight with his father.

A July wedding will take place at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
