Viola B. Clark

FRANKLIN—Viola Elizabeth Bradshaw Clark, 87, widow of Frank Raby Clark, died April 6, 2008.

Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Almyra Pond Bradshaw.

Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her first husband, Vinson Raiford; a daughter, Mary Catherine Raiford; five sisters, Catherine Lowe, Virgie Wade, Mary Parker, Lillie Bradshaw and Martha Bradshaw; and five brothers, Alvin, August, Clinton, George and Reginald Bradshaw.

She was a retired supervisor from H.P. Beale and Sons, a member of High Street Senior Citizens, and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Hazel Raiford Greene and husband R.B. of Franklin; two grandchildren, Lori G. Bailey and husband, Steve of Courtland and Steven L. Greene and wife Hope of Franklin; three great-grandchildren, Travis Bailey, Zachary Greene and Bradley Bailey; two sisters, Gladys Holt of Alabama and Doris Stephenson of Zuni; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the the Rev. Dr. Rob Edwards and the Rev. Dr. Steve Bradshaw officiating.

Interment will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, Va. 23898.
