MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Savannah Wyche “Banner Lou” Smith, 72, of the 100 block of Leaf St., died March 28, 2008.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Sunbeam.

She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Sunbeam, and retired from Whitley Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Murfreesboro.

Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Smith of Washington, D.C.; sons, Richard Leon “Smiley” Smith of the home and Arthur Lee Smith of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Josie Mae Rawlings of Windsor; brothers, John Thomas Hill of Newport News, Gilbert Hill and Albert Hill, both of Franklin; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro by the Rev. Robert Richardson.

Burial will be in Wilder’s-Cherry family cemetery, Aulander, N.C. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Rich Square,

N.C., is in charge of arrangements.
