RALEIGH, N.C.—Willie Lee Draughon Warren, 87, formerly of Roseboro, N.C., died peacefully March 28, 2008, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Warren was the last survivor of 10 children born to the late Grover C. Draughon and Verna M. Jernigan Draughon of Falcon, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 1/2 years, William Arthur Warren Sr.

She

spent her earlier days rearing her family and was active in her church and community as long as she was able. Her family remained the joy of her life and she was happiest when surrounded by them.

She prided herself on instilling the love of God in her children as he was her source of strength.

Survivors include a

daughter, Joy W. Owen and husband Jerry of Raleigh; son, the Rev. W. Arthur Warren Jr. and wife Becky of Murfreesboro, N.C.; four granddaughters, Miriam O. Migdal and husband Ryan of Raleigh, Maria W. Setzer and husband Trevor of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Martha W. Smith and husband Ashley of Winterville, N.C., and Noelle Warren of Greenville, N.C.; three great-granddaughters, Mattingly, Gracie and Zoe Migdal, of Raleigh.

A funeral service was held Sunday at Beulah United Methodist Church, Corinth Church Road, Roseboro with the Revs. Bobby Herring and Andy Wood officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.
