GERMANTOWN, Md.—Sharon Jenkins Jones died Jan. 28, 2008, at her home.

Mrs. Jones was principal of Gaithersburg Elementary School in Gaithersburg, Md.

Survivors include, her parents, Calvin and Beatrice Jenkins of Murfreesboro, N.C.;

a daughter, Candace Jones of Germantown;

a sister, Joyce Jordan of Como, N.C.; and two brothers, Michael Jenkins and Kenneth Jenkins.

A memorial service was conducted Thursday at the school.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Murfreesboro by the Rev. Robert D. Richardson III.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to be set up in honor of Mrs. Jones to be used for student pursing a degree in education.
