SUFFOLK—Roy L. Phillips, of the 2400 block of Randolph St., died Jan. 29, 2008.

Mr. Phillips was predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Anna Darden Phillips, and his brothers Hosie, Cleon, Russell, and Russell Phillips.

He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Survivors include his brother, James E. Phillips, of Houston, Texas, and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville, with the Rev. Willie Diggs officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will assemble at the funeral home today at 9

a.m. for the funeral processional.

Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road, is in charge of the homegoing.
