Felts-Adams

IVOR—Leslie Rochelle Felts and Dean Michael Adams were united in marriage during a candlelight ceremony held at Mill Swamp Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. June 28.

The Rev. James L. Jones officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Felts of Ivor.

She is the maternal granddaughter of Vera E. Worrell and the late Fenton B. Worrell of Ivor, and the paternal granddaughter of Edith B. Felts and the late Leslie

Felts of Wakefield.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Michael Adams of Carrsville.

He is the maternal grandson of Edna Mae Parker and the late Edward L. Parker of Suffolk and the paternal grandson of Joseph E. Adams and the late Myrtle &uot;Polly&uot; Adams of Suffolk.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Matron of honor was Renee R. Felts, sister-in-law of the bride, Franklin.

Bridesmaids were Rebecca W. Adams, sister-in-law of the groom of Suffolk, Sarah W. Pittman, friend of the bride of Sedley, Samantha W. Perry, niece of the groom of Suffolk, Hillary L. Drake, niece of the bride of Franklin, and Taylor M. Felts, niece of the bride of Franklin.

Haley N. Adams, daughter of the groom, served as flower girl.

Best man was Glenn M. Adams, father of the groom of Carrsville.

Groomsmen were Glenn R. Adams, brother of groom of Suffolk, Kent N. Adams, brother of groom of Suffolk, Michael D. Felts, brother of the bride of Franklin, and Neil S. Cutright, cousin of the bride of Ivor. Dustin S. Cutright, cousin of the bride of Ivor, served as a junior groomsman during the recessional.

Ring bearer was William T. Luter Jr. &uot;T.J.&uot; of Windsor, godson of the groom.

Ushers were Michael E. Luter of Windsor, William T. Luter Sr. of Zuni, L. Frank Bracy of Windsor and William L. Jones Jr. of Windsor, all friends of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by E. Hal Whitley of Franklin, organist ,and Jeannie T. Edwards of Mechanicsville, pianist, both cousins of the bride.

Vocalists for the ceremony were Sherry Lilly of Suffolk, friends of the bride and groom, Ray Bennett of Suffolk, friends of the bride and groom, Patricia Powers of Suffolk, aunt of the groom, and Jeanette Jones of Ivor, friends of bride and groom.

Betsy W. Cutright, aunt of the bride of Ivor, and Susan L. Perry, sister-in-law of the groom of Suffolk, were mistresses of ceremony.

Sandra S. Vick of Ivor served as bridal assistant.

Attending the guest book was Kimberly L. Shelton, Suffolk, cousin of the groom.

Program greeters were Dustin S. Cutright of Ivor, cousin of the bride, and Leslie P. Sexton of Ivor, friend of the bride and groom.

Immediately following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Felts, parents of the bride, hosted a reception at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, Suffolk.

Music was provided by Jeremy Branch of Suffolk.

After a honeymoon in Nags Head, N.C., the couple will reside at 5700 Indian Trail Road, Suffolk.

Parties

Felts was honored with a miscellaneous shower held on April 6 at Southern Sisters, Courtland.

Mary Ann West and Alice W. Scott of Ivor, Jo Ann Hall of Smithfield and Ashlyn S. Scarbough of Wakefield, hosted the shower.

Members of the Nansemond River Pilot Club, Suffolk, gave Felts a miscellaneous shower on April 8.

Doris Crocker, Sharon Crocker and Brice Crocker of Windsor entertained Felts with a linen shower on April 19 at the Virginia

Diner in Wakefield.

On May 4, Judy Radford, Angie Radford, Jane Maddrey and Tammy Craft of Ivor hosted a gift card shower for the bride-to-be.

The shower was held in the fellowship hall of Ivor Baptist Church.

Felts was honored with a seasonal shower on May 8. Alice Joyner and Jane Bailey, both of Ivor, hosted the shower in the fellowship hall of Ivor Baptist Church.

Felts was given a surprise shower by co-workers from Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View, Suffolk, on May 15.

Mill Swamp Baptist Church fellowship hall was the setting for a pantry shower given to Felts on May 18. Sarah W. Pittman of Sedley hosted this event.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn R. Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Kent N. Adams of Suffolk entertained the couple with a

shower and barbecue on May 31.

This event was held at Cypress Chapel Ruritan House, Suffolk.

A bachelorette and bachelor party was held individually for the bride and groom on June 6.

Later in the evening, both parties joined at Kelly’s Restaurant in Suffolk.

Patricia W. Felts, mother of the bride, entertained a &uot;Sip and See Brunch&uot; on June 7 at the home of the bride on Bell Avenue in Ivor. All enjoyed seeing the many gifts the couple had received.

A luau was held for the couple on June 14. This event was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bracy of Windsor.

Betsy Cutright and Renee Felts hosted a bridal luncheon honoring the bride and her bridal party on June 21. Southern Sisters in Courtland was the setting for the luncheon.

An after rehearsal dinner was given to the wedding party and guests by the groom on June 27 in the fellowship hall of Mill

Swamp Baptist Church, Ivor.

The bride and groom chose to present gifts to the bridal party at this time.
