SUNBURY, N.C.—Edith Ann Harper, 67, died Jan. 29, 2008.

She was predeceased by her sister, Nellie Russell, and her former husband and friend, Bud Harper.

Mrs. Harper retired as a registered nurse with Obici Hospital.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Sunbury.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Leigh Harper of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Michelle Harper of Windsor; granddaughters, Taylor Harper and Adrianna Harper; one great-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Carson Tolliver of Knoxville, Tenn.

A memorial service will be held today at 6 p.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Hwy. 32 North, Sunbury, NC 27979.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at P.O. Box 153, Sunbury, NC 27979.
