Arminta C. Blowe

SUFFOLK —Minister Arminta Cross Blowe, 75, of the 2400 block of Nansemond Pkwy., died Jan. 24, 2008, in Sentara Obici Hospital.
Born in Virginia, she was a retired minister after 34 years of service.
She was a member of the Rose of Sharon Apostolic Faith Church of God in Franklin.
Mrs. Blowe loved to write gospel songs, sing and play the piano.
She was the widow of Nathaniel Blowe Sr. and daughter of the late Samuel Blowe and Fannie Mae Cross Blowe.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Blowe-Wright and Gloria J. Blowe; four sons, Nathaniel Blowe Jr., Nathan Blowe, Peter Blowe and Matthew Blowe; six sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Rose of Sharon Apostolic Faith Church of God in Handsom, by Bishop Richard Cross Jr.
Burial will be in the church’s cemetery.
