WILLIAMSTON, N.C.—Ruby Lee Griffin Hardison, 86, died Jan. 10, 2008, at the Williamston Rehab Center.

She was born in Martin County on Nov. 26, 1921, to the late David T. Griffin and Lucy Roberson Griffin.

She was a member of Smithwick Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

In 1951, she married Archie Edwin Hardison; he died in 1972.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Briley of Carrollton; brother, David Verlin Griffin of Williamston; granddaughter, Heather Greer and husband, George, of Smithfield; and great-grandchildren, Carter Briley Greer and Lindsey Leigh Greer.

A funeral service was to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Lowell Petry. Interment will be in Tice Cemetery.

The family was to receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service at Biggs Funeral Home.
