Why do you choose to live in Franklin/Southampton/Isle of Wight County? It’s home. Most of my family is here.
If you had two weeks’ vacation and money were no object, how would you spend your time? I would travel around the world to different places that I have always dreamed of going.
Favorite food: Mac and cheese, neck bones and pork chop.

What’s the best life lesson you’ve learned, and who taught you? Everything will come together in due time. You have to be patient, trust, believe and have faith. My mommy taught me that.

What’s the best decision you’ve made in life? Going to school to try to build a future for myself
Which local charitable or non-profit organization do you wish more people would support? The church
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know. I’m not as quiet as you think, I can be very stubborn at times and I’m impatient.
What’s your hobby? I don’t have time for one any more.
If you could re-live one day of your life, which would it be and why? The day I jumped on a plane and went to Chicago. It was a very fun and, believe it or not, peaceful experience. Plus, I love to travel.
What gives you the blues? The rain and when others are feeling down.
What’s the most Southern thing you’ve ever done? Nothing and hopefully it will stay that way. I’m referred to as a “city girl.”
What’s your best childhood memory? Being a tomboy and always being the only girl riding bikes, roller blading, and playing sports with the boys.
Tell us one true thing. I’m overall a good, nice and compassionate person. I’m a very independent person and hard working. I always strive for the best.
What frightens you most? What the world is coming to.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why? The islands because it is always warm there. It’s beautiful and the water is clear and pretty.

What last brought tears to your eyes? When my friend died
If you could invite three guests - living or dead, from anytime in history - to dinner, who would they be? Jesus, my great-granddaddy and Beyonc/
What three objects would you take with you to a desert island? Food/water clothes and a gun
What kind of music do you like, and who’s your favorite performer? Gospel, R&B and rap. My favorite performer is Beyonc/
Tell us about a good movie you’ve seen lately and why you liked it. This Christmas. I liked it because it was very comical, family oriented and you could learn a thing or two from it.
Who’s a famous athlete or entertainer you admire? Beyonc/ because she seems like a down to earth, humble person and Keyshia Cole because she can relate to us normal, every-day people, as well as to women.
What’s the last book you read? The Vixen Diaries by Karrine Steffans
To whom are you grateful and why? I’m grateful for Jesus for my life; for all that he’s done and for all that he’s going to do. I’m also grateful for my mom because she’s such a loving, sweet and compassionate person and she is always there for me through thick and thin.
