To the Editor;

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the associates employed at the Franklin Wal-Mart, as well as the citizens in Franklin, Southampton County and surrounding areas.

In retail, the holidays, especially Christmas, can be a very frantic and demanding time for both customers and employees.

In 13 years of working for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., I have never experienced the compassion, optimism and true Christmas spirit as I have this year since moving to Franklin.

The associates who work for the Franklin Wal-Mart should be highly commended for their hard work and dedication. The customers have been an absolute joy to meet, and I truly appreciate all of your wonderful support.

I would also like to thank all the members of this community for welcoming my family to Franklin. My wife, two children and I moved here from Georgia in July.

The people of this great area have been so kind and helpful to each of us, so I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to each of you.

Again, thank you, associates and customers. It is a true honor to serve this area and be a part of an outstanding community.
