Mable R. Hunter

FRANKLIN—Mable Reid Hunter, 90, of the 800 block of Coolspring St., died Dec. 23, 2007, in Courtland Healthcare after a short illness.
Mrs. Hunter was a native of Southampton County, the daughter of the late Willie Reid and Bessie Britt Reid.
She was also predeceased by her husband, Willie L. Hunter Sr.; daughter, Hattie B. Johnson; and brother, Henry Reid.
She was a member of Mount Gilead AME Church
and the Missionary Circle.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Bynum of Goldsboro, N.C.; three sons, Willie Bynum Sr. (Mary) of Gloucester, Earl Bynum Sr. (Geneva) and Willie Hunter Jr. (Rita), both of Franklin; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Stonewall Street, with Bishop D. Stef‡n Adams presiding.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Elvin Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
