VIRGINIA BEACH—Jeremiah John Duffy, died Dec. 24, 2007.

Mr. Duffy was born Feb. 22, 1936, in the Bronx, N.Y. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 4632.

His parents Patrick and Bina Duffy, his loving stepmother Bridgett Duffy, his brother Francis Duffy, and his son Jeremiah John Duffy preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Deanna Duffy; his daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and James Krisher of Syracuse,

N.Y., Theresa and Louis DeMartino of Smithfield, Patricia and Jeffrey Forman of Chesapeake, Deanna and Michael Haverly of Virginia Beach, Nora and Richard Harrig of Virginia Beach and Colleen and David Ellison of Virginia Beach; his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Tess Duffy of Queens,

N.Y.;

and nine grandchildren, Joseph, Benjamin, Elizabeth and James Krisher, Michael and Grace Haverly, Nicole and Richard Harrig and Bridget Ellison.

We extend our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness they provided to our family.

A funeral Mass will be conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. at Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Monsignor Thomas Caroluzza.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Laskin Road Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad or the Knights of Columbus.
