James R. Faulk

SUFFOLK— James Russell Faulk, 72, of 122 S. 12th St., died Dec. 12, 2007, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Mr. Faulk was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late John Italy and Isabelle O. Faulk. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Faulk.

He retired from Lipton Tea Company after approximately 40 years of service. He was a former member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Buckhorn Station, Suffolk, and attended the former George Tyler School, Windsor.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn F. Haris (Alvin) of Newport News and Brenda Simpson, of Suffolk; one son, James R. Faulk Jr. and wife of Belleville, Ill.; two sisters, Daisy Lee Johnson (Wilbert) of Zuni and Gladys Faulk, of Suffolk; one brother, David T. Faulk (Clara Mae) of Suffolk; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing service was to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crocker Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Parker officiating.

Interment was to be held in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
