Frances S. Edwards

WINDSOR—Sarah Frances Saunders “Snook” Edwards, 79, widow of Jessie Curtis Edwards, died Dec. 14, 2007.

A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Allen and Otelia Gay Saunders.

Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Suffolk Moose Lodge and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Daisy E. Stone and husband Arthur Jr., Carol E. Willman and husband Ricky and Sandra E. Quillin, all of Windsor; four sisters, Charlotte Woodie of Wakefield, Nancy Hall and Brenda Marshall, both of Franklin, Becky Hedgepeth of Windsor; seven grandchildren, Lisa Snell, Jessica Hendricks, Crystal Webb, Jennifer Quillin, Caleb Willman, J. T. Willman, Berline Waterfield; and six great-grandchildren, Alicia, Hannah, and Dixie Snell, Garrett and Aiden Hendricks, and Destiny Webb.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Munford and Willie Clark; two brothers, A. J. and Johnnie Saunders; and a son-in-law, Mark Quillin.

A funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 am at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rob. E. Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in Uzzell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests memorial be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, Va., 23898.
